Her Role in Doctor Who and Everything We Know About Her

The BBC announced in 2017 that Whittaker would play the thirteenth Doctor, succeeding Peter Capaldi, who played the twelfth incarnation of the Doctor in the Doctor Who series. The announcement was received with mixed reactions; some thought it was a welcome development, as it will serve as a good example for younger girls, while others thought that the Doctor should be a man and that this should remain so, well, anyway, the thirteenth Doctor is here to stay with us forever.
