John Green is a best-selling author, educator, YouTube blogger, producer, and actor. His debut album as author Looking for Alaska won him the 2006 Printz Award. In January 2012 his 6th novel The Fault in Our Stars debuted at number one on the New York Times bestseller list. His 2014 film adaptation almost knocked the novel over in terms of commercial success, as it opened as number one at the box office.
John Green is not only an outstanding author but also a well-known YouTuber. Together with his brother Hank Green, he started the YouTube channel “VlogBrothers”. The Green brothers have also launched several brilliant projects in the online community, including “VidCon”, the largest annual gathering of social media influencers and their fans.

John Green Biography (Age)
He was born on 24 August 1977 as John Michael Green in Indianapolis, the capital of the US state of Indiana. Barely a month after his birth, his parents Mike and Sydney Green moved the family to Michigan. They later moved to Birmingham, Alabama, before finally settling in Orlando, Florida.
John Green received his early education at Glenridge Middle School and Lake Highland Preparatory School in Orlando, Florida. He completed his primary education in 1995 at Indian Springs School outside Birmingham, Alabama. For his college education, he studied English and Religious Studies at Kenyon College. John completed his college education in 2000.
After college, John Green aspired to become a bishopric priest. In fact, he was enrolled at the University of Chicago Divinity School, but he failed to complete the course. He also served as a student chaplain at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. There he met many children suffering from serious illnesses. These encounters gave him the inspiration for the book The Fault in Our Stars.
John Green also worked for the Chicago-based book review magazine Booklist. He was commissioned to review numerous fiction works, many of which were about Islam or were related to twins. He has also been a literary critic for the New York Times Book Review. Still in his early forties, John Green has certainly achieved a lot.

John Green is half of the Green Brothers. The other decisive half refers to his younger brother William Henry “Hank” Green II. Hank Green was born on 5 May 1980 in Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to YouTube vlogging, he is an entrepreneur, musician, educator, producer, and writer. On 1 January 2007, the Green Brothers founded the YouTube channel called “Vlogbrothers”.
The Green Brothers continue to host the channel, which has reached well over 3 million subscribers and more. John’s wife Sarah Green can also be seen in their YouTube videos, but she does not appear on camera. The Green brothers are also the initiators of the popular online video conference “Vidcon”, which has been held every year since the first edition in 2010.
In 2011, the Green brothers collaborated on another YouTube channel called “Crash Course”. This second channel is an education-based channel, which aims to bring different courses to viewers, ranging from humanities to science. The Green Brothers’ YouTube channel “Crash Course” has attracted over 7.5 million subscribers, much more than the first channel. The brothers have a number of other projects in their name, including Project for Awesome (P4A), a charity movement, and the weekly podcast Dear Hank & John.
John Green is married to Sarah Urist Green. The couple exchanged vows on May 21, 2006. According to Green, he is an Episcopal Christian, but got married in a Catholic church. Sarah Urist Green was born in Washington, D.C. She studied at Northwestern University and then received a master’s degree in art history from Columbia University. She is the curator of an art museum and host of the PBS web series The Art Assignment. From 2007 to 2013, she served as curator of contemporary art at the Indianapolis Museum.

The couple has two children together. On 20 January 2010, they welcomed their first child, a son named Henry. On 3 June 2013, the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Alice. John Green suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). He is very vocal about his struggle with the disease, especially on YouTube.
