Bo Dallas is a professional wrestler who has made a name for himself in both the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and NXT championships. Bo comes from a wrestling family that has made the ring seem like a second home to him since childhood.
Although he is very popular as Bo Dallas, the wrestler was born as Taylor Michael Rotunda on May 25, 1990, in Brooksville, Florida. It was almost clear from his childhood that he was made for the ring, as he came from a family that is very popular in this sport.
While his grandfather Kendall Windham was a WCW World Tag Team Champion, his father, brother and uncles gave their all as wrestlers. As a result, there came a point in the life of the young Rotunda where he actually believed that wrestling was all there was to do in life.
For his education, the Brooksville native went to Hernando High School, which he graduated from in 2008. His next step was to go to Webber International University, where he received a scholarship because he also played football. He turned down college because he wanted to start wrestling professionally.
Since his high school days, he started to fight. At that time, he was able to make it to state wrestling championships until 2008, when he signed up professionally with the WWE. His first fight was against Kaleb O’Neal, whom he defeated at the Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).
His previous fights were in tag teams with the likes of Kris Logan and Bray Wyatt, then known as Duke Rotunda. After achieving some success, he later started in singles. He also took part in the new NXT championships that emerged from FCW. He remained there until 2014.
From 2014 to 2016 he participated in episodes of Raw and SmackDown. After that, he fought as a member of The Social Outcasts and then of The Miztourage and The B-Team.
The WWE superstar, also known as Bo Washington or The Inspirational, has had several wrestling successes, including three FCW Florida Heavyweight Championships, two FCW Florida Tag Team Championships alongside his brother, and an NXT Championship. In addition, he was ranked as the 73rd top wrestler in the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Top 500 in 2014.
Although wrestling is his main occupation, Bo Dallas also appeared in the movie The Marine 5: Battleground as Alonzo.
Family, Brother, Sister, and Wife
As mentioned earlier, Dallas comes from a family that is very popular in the wrestling community, with almost every family member being a part of that family. The wrestler has a brother Bray Wyatt (Windham Lawrence Rotunda) and a sister Mika Rotunda.
Bray has also made a name for himself as a wrestler, and he is even more successful than his younger brother, both were members of the NXT show. Mika on the other hand is the only member of the Rotunda wrestling clan who has decided not to enter the ring. She is a fitness trainer.
Dallas is married to Sarah Backman, who is also a professional wrestler. She was born in Sweden on December 8, 1991. When she was 14 years old, Backman had already started as an arm wrestler, where she grew up and became very popular until she became an eight-time arm wrestling and WWE world champion.
Dallas and Backman were married in 2014 at a private event. In 2018, the couple was not yet to have a child.
Is Bo Dallas Dead?
In 2015, after a fight with Brock Lesnar in which he was mercilessly beaten, many believed that the ring entertainer had died. Apart from that, Bo had not been in the arena for some time, so that people wondered if he was really dead. But the truth is that he is very much alive and active as a wrestler.
Height and Weight
There are people like Rey Mysterio and a few others who broke the convention, but then most of the wrestlers who signed with WWE have a good height and a heavy build. Rotunda also falls into the class of those with height, and he is well built to survive wrestling, the football he started with, and many other sports.
He is 185 cm (6 feet 1 inch) tall and has a body weight of 106 kg (234 lb).
